We visited to enjoy a celebratory anniversary dinner and certainly weren't disappointed. The interior and atmosphere was lovely; the staff were all friendly, professional, and attentive. They have a great food and wine menu. The food was, on the whole, fantastic; excellent nibbles, starters and dessert, there was unfortunately just an issue with the steak... not the chef's fault, rather the butcher's cut but the manager kindly removed the dish from the bill. This wouldn't in the least stop us from visiting again. Overall a wonderful evening. Would highly recommend 👌 9.5/10
We were greeted by such a lovely team who found us a table despite us not booking. The service was great and food was delicious. Dog friendly and lots of families which is perfect for us. Highly recommend the sea bream and mussels
Loved it. The food was amazing. Why there isn't people queuing at the door for it, I don't know. The lady that served us was charming. The seat comfy. The only negative was that flashing light across the ceiling, obviously some kind of electric fault but it got really annoying. The prices were reasonable for the quality you get. The place was clean including the kitchen and the loo. It's a very traditional cornish pub, not pretentious but friendly place. With car park at the back. Will go back. Would recommend the food. Everything was perfect.
We came on one of our last evenings of our holiday witn our son and our rescue dog buddy, this wonderful establishment is totally dog friendly and Phil behind the bar is a true gent, he recommended the crispy pork belly which was amazing, we even had the option of buying our doggie a chew from the bar, which he was still enjoying even after 40mins, we have visited this establishment many times over the years of us holidaying in the area and we can't wait to return here, best meal of the holiday, hands down, keep up the top work guys
Fabulous. Eaten here twice in 3 days. Food well served, service good and meals very tasty and reasonably priced.
This is our second visit and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely friendly atmosphere, delicious food and dog friendly. Definitely recommend.
We have visited this pub twice back in summer 2023 when we had s lovely diner and in 2025 for lunch. I must say both times we were received with enthusiasm, absolutely great, probably by the owner. We had ham and egg for lunch and some drinks which were great as well. We drink more coffee as Dutchies and the taste of their cappucino was good. This time we ate outside on the terrace. Although situated on a busy entry road to New Quay the road dont disturb you too much when you are on the terrace. Inside it is no issue at all. Will return again when we are in the neighbourhood again.
